Futures for the S&P 500 rose 1.8% Tuesday, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 1.5% and technology-heavy Nasdaq-100 futures climbed 2.2%. The moves come a day after the major indexes closed sharply higher, giving a positive start to the fourth quarter following sharp losses over recent months.
